Rhythm - Strumming

Chord Progression

Chords played are incorrect in fingering and timing.

There is no discernible pattern, or order in the performance.
Amateur

Progression follows a pattern occasionally out of time, or incorrect order.

Mistakes cause a noticeable pause, or are not immediately fixed.

Fingers are closely watched in order to find correct placement.
Professional

Chords are played and switched at the correct time in the performance.

One/two errors are quickly fixed with little disruption to the progression.

Fingers are monitored by performer.
Virtuoso

Chords are played and change smoothly without any errors.

The performer moves between chords naturally with little noticeable attention. (Muscle memory)
