Definitions Categories of genre	Limited Demonstrates little to no understanding of word definitions.	Developing Recalls the definitions of 2 words, but leaves out key components.	Adequate Recalls the definitions of 3 words correctly, and partial recall of a 4th word.	Achieved Demonstrates total recall of all word definitions without error.
Identification Styles of literary genres 8/8	Limited Identifies 25% of literary styles.	Developing Identifies 50% of literary styles.	Adequate Identifies 75% of literary styles.	Achieved Identifies 100% of literary styles.
Classification Fiction or Nonfiction 12/12	Limited Lists 25% of genre in the correct category.	Developing Lists 50% of genre in the correct category.	Adequate Lists 75% of genre in the correct category.	Achieved Lists 100% of genre in the correct category.
