Developing Most pitches are performed incorrectly, but student uses a singing voice quality.	Good Most pitches are performed correctly with a singing voice.	Excellent Consistently performs all pitches correctly.
Steady Beat 5 pts Keeping the beat in groups of 2s and 3s.	Poor Student does not keep a steady beat.	Developing Student does not maintain a steady beat independently.	Good Student is able to keep a steady beat most of the time.	Excellent Consistently maintains a steady beat.

Effort and Participation 5 pts Behavior, Posture, Focus, Eye Contact, Procedures, Routines, Expectations	Poor Student does not follow classroom procedures, put forth much effort and disrupts class frequently.	Developing Student is on task and giving effort 50% of the time. Teacher frequently reminds this student of procedures, expectations and objectives.	Good Student is on task and giving effort 80% of the time. Teacher gives occasional reminder to this student about procedures, expectations, and objectives.	Excellent Student is on task and giving effort 100% of the time. Teacher does not need to remind this student about classroom procedures, expectations, and objectives.
