Significantly Below Expectations Insufficiently describes the music mentioning the basic elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, style, etc. May be blank or only one comment.	Below Expectations Inconsistently describes the music mentioning the basic elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, style, etc. May only have a few comments.	At Expectations Sufficiently describes the music mentioning the basic elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, style, etc.	Above Expectations Exceptionally describes the music mentioning the basic elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, style, etc. Description is complete and may include higher order thinking.	Significantly Above Expectations Masterfully describes the music mentioning the basic elements of melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, style, etc. Description is thorough and includes higher order thinking or thinking "outside the box". May also include descriptions of the mood or the way the music makes them feel.
Compare/Contrast When two or more pieces have been used.	Significantly Below Expectations Insufficiently compares/contrasts the music. Students is unable to find anything that is different between the music.	Below Expectations Inconsistently compares/contrasts the music.
