Biome Power Point Presentation Biome Power Point Presentation For your biome presentation, please include the sections on this rubric for full points. Biomes
	Emerging 2 pts	Developing 4 pts	Proficient 6 pts	Extending 8 pts
The name of the biome.	Emerging Student does not tell the class what biome they are presenting and does not introduce themselves.	Developing Student talks about their biome, but do not tell the class the name of their biome or the student doesn't introduce themselves	Proficient Student tells the name of the biome and introduces themselves but doesn't put it in the powerpoint.	Extending Student tells the class the name of their biome before going into the presentation and introduces themselves. (All this info should be on first slide)
Location	Emerging Student does not include countries or does not include pictures of the location of the biome	Developing Student does not describe what part of the world (countries, etc) their biome is located and only includes pictures	Proficient Student states the exact countries their biome is located in but does not provide pictures.	Extending Student state the exact countries their biome are located and provide pictures of those places
Temperature & Precipitation	Emerging Student does not tell the class what the temperature is like in their biome or discuss precipitation.	Developing Student tells the class it is freezing, hot, warm, cold, wet, dry, etc, but do not say the temperatures in degrees or include annual monthy precipitation	Proficient Student tells the class it is freezing, hot, warm, cold, wet, dry, etc, but do not say the temperatures in degrees but does not include annual monthy precipitation or vice versa	Extending Student gives the temperatures in degrees during the year and the annual precipitation for each month. Vegetation	Emerging Student does not talk about the types of vegetation in their biome or only show 1 type.	Developing Student has identified 1 type of vegetation in their biome and shown pictures of them.	Proficient Student has identified 2 types of vegetation in their biome and shown pictures of them.	Extending Student has identified 3 types of vegetation in their biome and shown pictures of them.
Animals	Emerging Student does not talk about the animals that live in their biome or only show 1.	Developing Student has identified 1 animal in their biome and shown pictures of it.	Proficient Student has identified 2 animals in their biome and shown pictures of them.	Extending Student has identified 3 animals in their biome and shown pictures of them.
Creativity	Emerging Student is not very creative with the way they construct their power point	Developing Student gives some effort into creativity, but leaves out a lot of detail.	Proficient Student is creative in the way they use their powerpoint but could include more eye catching slides, make it more interesting.	Extending Student is very creative in the way they used their power point to show others the features of the biome
Works Cited Slide	Emerging Student does not site any of his finding.	Developing Student sites 1/3 of slide findings	Proficient Student sites at least 1/2 of slide findings	Extending Student sites ALL slide findings and puts the reference site with the information/picture on the page
World Map Completion	Emerging Student did not complete the world map	Developing Student completed 1 Map	Proficient Student completed both maps, but was not done neatly	Extending Student completed both maps and were done neatly, including titles and legends
