Student displays ability to play with correct dynamics, articulations, phrasing & style with minor errors.
Level 4

Student consistently plays with beautiful attention to the dynamics, articulations, musical phrasing & style.
Overall Preparation

Student is not prepared
Level 1

Student has prepared less than half of the test piece. The more basic phrases are performed with some errors but the more technically challenging sections are not attempted or easily recognizable.
Level 2

Student performs the less technically demanding moments fairly well but the more challenging moments reveal a lack of preparation and/or technical ablility.
Level 3

Student performs most of the material accurately but more technically demanding phrases are audibly strained and flaws are present. Preparation is good but still needs some rehearsal.
Level 4

Student performs all musical elements with control and fluidity. Excellent preparation is evident throughout.
