States the 3 questions that will be presented.	Approaching Includes an opening statement. Lists the questions to be presented. No detail presented	Beginning Very brief introduction with little or no connections to the topic.
Focuses on Topic	Surpassing Clearly states information in an organized manner. Includes more than 3 points to be discussed.Lists the qualities of being the hero and is significant to the topic.	Meeting State information in an organized manner. Includes 3 points to be discussed and lists qualities of why the person is a hero.	Approaching Stays on topic and includes 2 points to be discussed. The list of examples is limited.	Beginning Includes very little information on their hero in the speech.
Conclusion	Surpassing Creatively and clearly restates the topic of the speech while grabbing the reader's attention. Clearly restate the 3 or more points and Include a major statement about the hero.
