Weekly Singing Assessment

Students will be graded on a bi-weekly basis singing the assigned measures of music from concert repertoire. Selected measures by teacher are recorded and submitted for assessment.

Improvement needed Performer struggles to stay on pitch or in tune.	Developing Performer sings with fair pitch and intonation, making 3-4 mistakes or is often slightly flat/sharp.	Meets expectations Performer sings with good pitch and intonation, making 1-2 mistakes.	Exceeds expectations Performer sings with excellent pitch and intonation, making no mistakes.
Rhythm/Timing 1 pts How often rhythms are performed correctly while maintaining a steady beat	Unacceptable Performer did not attempt to sing the piece.	Improvement needed Performer struggles with timing and rhythm.	Developing Performer sings mostly correct rhythm patterns with 3-4 mistakes.
