Elements/Principles of Design

4

Multiple elements and principles were added to their print logo to create visual interest like texture, shapes, line and value. They created texture through using hatching and cross hatching to fill in spaces that are white. They added value to their work by coloring in areas white, using hatching to create medium tones, and leaving some areas black (or a plain color). They created images for their logo using shapes and lines to make symbols.
3

Multiple elements and principles were added to their print personal logo to create visual interest. They met the requirements, but needed to consider one of two more of the principles to fix errors like not having enough imagery in their work or not coloring in areas to have white in their print.
2

There were problems in their recreation artwork. 3-4 elements and principles were not considered in the making of their print logo. Their print was mostly black and they did not add enough lines to create interest in their logo print.
1

None of the elements or principles were thought out in creating their print logo.

4

Student produced an exceptional print personal logo. It is evident that time, effort, and thought were put in to it through brainstorming what they wanted to include in their own logo. They practiced printing their piece at least 5 times and had one successful print out of the 5. They pushed on the edges to make sure the color showed up on there. They made sure there was enough ink on the plate (not too little but not too much).
3

Produces quality work. Effort and time were put in to the print logo They created the project in a proficient manner, but they needed to refine a couple minor details like the elements added into the print or the print quality (ink consistency/no fingers around print).
2

Needs improvement. Quality is below expectations in their print logo. More effort needed in making sure their piece is craftily made like the ink consistency, cleanness around print (no fingers), and the final product of refining their print.
1

Did not produce quality work. Student did not show effort. Work was messy and not refined in any way. They did not refine any errors in their work and they did not take their time neatly creating their piece.
