Shark Tank Toothpaste Lab

Students draw up a business plan and create a new company that will market a new toothpaste flavor. Students will ask investors to invest in their company and decide how much equity they are willing to give up in order to start their business.

Business Plan	Advanced Business plan is thorough, extremely well put together and organized. This team is prepared to start their business in this competitive market.	Proficient Business plan in complete, ideas are organized and supported with data. Great thought went into profit, how money will be used and knowledge of market.	Basic Business plan lacks in some areas. Cost of product/profit do not add up. Minimal effort put into plan.
Completion of Lab	Advanced Team successfully completed their lab and used the data in their conclusions to support their flavor decision.	Proficient Team successfully completed their lab and accurately calculated data. Conclusion was lacking data support in conclusion.	Basic Team was not able to complete the lab.
Team Cooperation	Advanced Team worked exceptionally well together. Greeted tasks head on, made decisions together.	Proficient Team worked well together and had minimal cues to get back on task. Making team decisions were difficult at times.	Basic Team struggled with group dynamics. Several warnings on being on task and had trouble compromising.
Mathmatical Calculations	Advanced Team went above and beyond calculating production costs, profits and broke down money borrowed into specific categories. Presentation	Advanced Team is immensely prepared, confident and commands audience's attention.	Proficient Team is overall prepared but could have used some more practice. Hold's audience's attention for most of presentation.	Basic Team's presentation is hard to follow and leaves the audience uninterested.
Fielding Questions	Advanced Team confidently answers questions asked by shark investors. Team is confident in their business and not willing to compromise too much of their company. Team stands united on all decisions.	Proficient Team struggles with answering some questions from shark investors but overall was able to confidently answer most.	Basic Team was uncomfortable and ill prepared when answering questions from shark investors.
