Musical Theater choreography 
Group Choreography Assignment
Instructor to assess efforts in producing group choreography as an assignment in preparation for the musical Children of Eden. Choreography should have a clear form, using choreographic devices, transitions that are seamless and movements that enhance the theatrical themes presented in the text and vocal presentations. Choreography should be presentational, meaningful and simple enough for everyone involve to perform successfully.

Choreography

Movements were not just strung together...there was a thoughtful purpose for each phrase of movements. Each dance was different from each other.

Movement were meaningful, dancers were given movements at their dance ability level.

Included dance elements throughout choreography; tools/devices...levels, rhythmic changes, canon, retrograde, repetition, movement quality,and embellishing movements.

Strong and consistent evidence that the dancers not only understand the elements of dance and group devices, but are able to use the elements and devices to add interest and variety to their dance.

The elements of dance and group devices are present and the dancers understand what they are.

Some of the elements of dance and group devices are present. Dancer did not clearly understand what the elements of dance are.
Needs Improvement

Dancer was unclear of the choreography techniques and included only one of the skills.
