Skills Assessment Skills Assessment will be based on the student's ability to perform tasks they have learned while in the collision and refinishing program. The student will be expected to perform these repair procedures at an entry level rating that would be acceptable by the collision industry.
	NOT COMPLETE Did not complete the project objective, and/or ignored accepted safety practices. 0 pts	POOR Required assistance to complete the task, following most accepted safety practices. Student had only a small portion of required tools. 10 pts	FAIR Completed most steps properly, following accepted safety practices with assistance and had most of required tools. 15 pts	GOOD Completed all steps properly, following all accepted safety practice with moderate asistance with all required tools. 20 pts	EXCELLENT Completed all steps properly following all accepted safety practices with no assistance with all tools required for the objective. 25 pts
Non-Structural Repairs 25 pts The student should be able to perform various non-structural repairs following accepted procedures involving various repairable substrates such as automotive sheetmetal and various plastics following all accepted safety practices in a timely manner as listed on the repair estimate using their personal tools.	NOT COMPLETE Student did not complete or did not have tools to complete this portion of the project.	POOR Student attempted to perform minor non-structural repairs, but required more time and materials with less accuracy than would be expected in an collision repair facility.	FAIR Student completed non-structural repair project but required help from the instructor, using more time, materials and less accuracy required in a collision repair facility.	GOOD Student completed non-structural repairs with very little help from the instructor and at a level of accuracy that would be that required in a collision facility.	EXCELLENT Student completed non-structural repairs with no help from the instructor and at a professional level of accuracy as required in a collision facility.
Refinish Repairs 25 pts The student should demonstrate knowledge and skills in all phases of automotive refinishing including all accepted safety practices pertaining to the use and disposal of hazardous paint materials by using personal tools required on the program tool list.	NOT COMPLETE Student did not complete or did not have tools to complete this portion of the project.	POOR Student attempted refinish repairs such as masking, panel preparation, and topcoat refinishing, but required more time and with less accuracy expected in an collision repair facility.	FAIR Student completed refinish repairs such as masking, panel preparation, and topcoat refinishing, but required help from the instructor, requiring more time than needed with but with accuracy that would be acceptable by the collision industry.	GOOD Student completed refinish repairs such as masking, panel preparation, and topcoat refinishing, requireing very little help from the instructor, with proper use time and materials at a rate of accuracy that would be expected by the collision industry.	EXCELLENT Student completed refinish repairs of masking, panel preparation, and topcoat refinishing, requireing no help from the instructor, with proper use time and materials at an extremely high rate of accuracy that is expected by the collision industry.
OVERALL EVALUATION 25 pts Project complexity was moderate. Appearance is based on industry standards, at levels of expertise required after one year of training in the collision field. The students final score will reflect overall quality (quality is defined by the collision industry) and use of personal tools.	NOT COMPLETE Student did not complete or did not have tools to complete the project.	POOR Student could not have completed the project without help from the instructor and with accuracy that would be less than that required in a collision industry.	FAIR Student completed the project but required some help from the instructor. Accuracy levels were below that required in a collision industry.	GOOD Student completed the project requiring no help from the instructor, but at a minininum accuracy levels as required by the collision industry standards.	EXCELLENT Student completed the project within the required hours and in a professional manner at high standards as required by the collision industry.
