Organization & Subject Knowledge

Poor

Audience cannot understand presentation because there was no sequence of information.
Did not have grasp of information; could not answer questions about subject.
Fair

Audience had difficulty following presentation because you jumped around.
Were uncomfortable with information and was able to answer only rudimentary questions.
Good

Presented information in logical sequence which audience could follow.
Were at ease with expected answers to all questions, but failed to elaborate.
Excellent

Presented information in logical, interesting sequence which audience could follow.
Demonstrated full knowledge (more than required) by answering class questions with explanations and elaboration.
Graphics & Mechanics

Poor

Used superfluous graphics or no graphics.
Student's presentation had four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.
Fair

Occasionally used graphics that rarely supported text and presentation.
Presentation had three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.
Good

Used graphics related to text and presentation.
Presentation had no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.

Eye Contact & Elocution

Poor

Read all of report with no eye contact.
Mumbled, incorrectly pronounced terms, and spoke too quietly for students in the back of class to hear or didn't take part in speaking at all.
Fair

Occasionally used eye contact, but still read most of report.
Voice was low. Incorrectly pronounced terms. Audience members had difficulty hearing presentation.
Good

Maintained eye contact most of the time but frequently returned to notes.
Voice was clear. Student pronounced most words correctly. Most audience members could hear presentation.
Excellent

Maintained eye contact with audience, seldom returned to notes.
Used a clear and enthusiastic voice with correct, precise pronunciation of terms so that all audience members could hear presentation.
TeamWork

Poor

Allowed other members of team to do all of the work. Were a silent team member.
Fair

Didn't take initiative to be a productive team member. Stayed quiet and took less responsibility.
Good

Worked with team members to share ideas. Did your part well.
Excellent

Worked well within your team to share ideas, and the responsibility for your presentation. Helped each other as necessary and showed a supportive and encouraging attitude. Tasks were evenly distributed.
Time Management

Poor

Needed more preparation time due to lack of focus or planning.
Fair

Presentation was given later than scheduled due to needing more time to finish. Did not use time wisely during class sessions.
Good

Presentation was finished on time. Used class sessions to get work done with some distractions.
Excellent

Well-thought out presentation was finished ahead of schedule and team was enthusiastic about presenting. Used time wisely during class sessions and made plans outside of class to organize presentation.
