This rubric is for my third grade classroom. It is very specific for each completed task which includes word study, reading, writing, and math.

Word Study	Poor No word sets are in ABC order or in sentences.	Fair Some word sets are in ABC order but there are no sentences.	Good Some word sets are in ABC order and in sentences. However, some sentences are incomplete.	Excellent There are 4 word sets in ABC order and in complete sentences but no tasks cards completed.	Advanced All word sets are in ABC order and in complete sentences and task cards are completed.
Reading	Poor There are less than 3 reading responses.	Fair There are 6 or less reading responses with no title of the book.	Good There are at least 8 reading responses with some titles.	Excellent There are at least 10 responses that include the title of the book.	Advanced There are 12 or more reading responses that include the title of the book.
Writing	Poor There are no stories or task cards completed.	Fair There are 2 completed stories and no task cards completed or all task cards completed and no stories.	Good There are 3 completed stories and no task cards completed.	Excellent There are 4 completed stories and 1 task card completed.	Advanced There are 5 completed stories and 2 task cards completed.
Math	Poor There are no math responses in notebook.	Fair There is one game recorded and no task card completed.	Good The games are recorded and 3 task cards are completed but it is the same task card in each math task.	Excellent The games are recorded and 4 task cards are completed but one is the same task card in each math task.	Advanced The games are recorded and at least 4 new task cards are completed.
Reading Assignment	Poor No assignments completed	Fair All assignments are completed but 2 have a check or frowny face.	Good All assignments are completed but 2 have a check.	Excellent All assignments are completed but 3 have a smiley face.	Advanced All assignments are completed with a smiley face and a circle around it.
