Arms bent, not over ears, and chin not on chest.
Intermediate

Kneeling or standing on side, but two of the requirements not met.
Advanced

Standing or kneeling on the side, but with one requirement not met.
Expert

Standing or kneeling on the side, arms straight over ears, chin on chest.
Push

Beginner

Did not push from feet.
Intermediate

Pushed from both feet, but got less than one foot of distance from wall. If kneeling, only barely pushed from wall.
Advanced

Pushed from both feet, got at least one foot of distance from the wall. If kneeling, started to stand up during push.
Expert

Pushed from both feet and got more than one foot of distance from the wall. Swimmer started from standing.
Entry

Beginner

Either jumped feet first or lifted head and belly/chest entered water first.
Intermediate

Body entered at almost the same time as hands and head, but some of the diving motion was present (instead of flopping).
Advanced

Clear sequence: hands enter first, followed by head, then body.
Expert

Clear sequence, and body went into water at a 15 degree angle.
