Oral Presentation- Book Report 5 due 12/13 
Students will give a short presentation to the class on their reading book of at least 300 pages that has a lexile level within their range (100 points below to 100 points above their lexile level), including bibliographic information in MLA format on a note card. Students will demonstrate understanding of the terms studied in class, explaining one of the themes and how it was expressed (include textual evidence with page #), irony, tone, mood, and symbols (speculate on significance) in the text. Students will also explain their recommendation and a connection (text/self; text/text; text/world). The presentation will begin with an introduction and end with a conclusion. Students are required to hand in this self-graded rubric before their presentation on Monday, December 13. 10 points will be deducted for students who lose this rubric.
