Tone	2 Bad Many notes are out of tune and not centered. Tone quality is undesirable.	3 Fair Some notes are out of tune. Pitches are occasionally not centered properly. Tone quality is harsh.	4 Good Pitches are in tune and centered. A desirable tone quality is produced for this piece.	5 Excellent Pitches are well centered and in tune. A desirable tone quality that is appropriate to the music being performed is produced throughout the performance. Tone has depth and warmth.
Rhythm	2 Bad Many rhythms are sung incorrectly.	3 Fair Some rhythms are sung incorrectly.	4 Good Rhythms are sung correctly.	5 Excellent Rhythms are sung correctly and in a style that fits the piece.
Diction	2 Bad Articulation is very unclear.	3 Fair Articulation is evident some of the time but not throughout the entire song.	4 Good Articulation is evident throughout.	5 Excellent Strong, clear articulation with confidence is evident throughout.
Independency	2 Bad Unable to hold vocal part against another.	3 Fair Student sings some notes independently, but is not able to hold all of their part against another vocal part.	4 Good Student is able to stay on their part while singing with another part.	5 Excellent Student is able to stay on their part while singing with two or more other parts.
Stage Presence	2 Bad Posture and stage presence is unacceptable.	3 Fair Student needs improvement in posture. Student shows lapses in judgment in professionalism.	4 Good Student stands with correct posture and is professional in their conduct.	5 Excellent Student stands with correct posture and is professional in their conduct. Student is able to assist others with stage presence.
