Student demonstrates mathematical Thinking through number sense	Below Expectations Student thoughts are not expressed in pictures or numbers.	Meets Expectations Student thoughts are expressed using pictures and numbers, but errors have been made resulting in teacher support. Student appears to understand most of the concepts.	Exceeds Expectations Student thoughts are stated with multiple use of pictures and numbers. No errors are made.
Procedural Fluency Can effectively convert and solve the fractions by showing correct and appropriate steps in their work.	Below Expectations The student does not complete or answer some questions correctly. More review is needed.	Meets Expectations The student still needs support to show all the steps and notice minor errors.	Exceeds Expectations The student completes and demonstrates each step to properly convert the improper fraction/mixed number.
