Weekly Student Organization Rubric 
Each week students will complete a self-assessment, using the criteria below, to assess their organization skills. Each week the teacher will also complete an assessment for each student, using the criteria below, to assess their organization skills. Marks will be calculated and used as one component towards the DBT credit course

Materials/ Personal Work Space

Advanced

All materials organized and student does not need to search for items and/ or materials. Materials are kept neatly in binders, or in files on laptop, under specific subject headings. i.e. Learning Skills, AVI2O etc.
No loose papers or unnecessary items are kept in desk or blue storage container. Student does not need any reminders to organize their desk or storage bin.
Proficient

Student only very rarely (1 time in the week) needs to search for materials or work. Most materials are kept in binders or sketch book, or in labelled files on laptop. Only a couple ( 2-3) pages are loose in desk. One to two unnecessary items are stored in desk and/or blue storage container. Student very rarely needs reminder to organize their desk and storage bin.
Basic

Student can find items and only sometimes needs additional time to search for materials or work. Approximately half of students work is not placed in binders or files on the computer, and many are missing titles that would help locate them. Several (4 or more) unnecessary items are left in or on desk, or in storage bin. i.e lunch containers, wrappers, used masks. Student needs regular (2-3 times a week) reminders to organize their desk and blue storage container.
Below Basic

Student has great difficult organizing materials. Most or all materials are loose in desk or bin, and work has not been organized into files on laptop. Many unnnecessary items are kept in desk or storage bin. Student needs additional time, usually daily, to find materials and reminders to organize their desk.
