Pointillism Project Rubric Color Wheel Project Rubric After a review of the color wheel by the teacher, the student will create an original drawing incorporating all of the colors of the color wheel on paper. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct colors on the color wheel in the correct position while creating an interesting composition. Color Scheme	Excellent Color Scheme was well thought out and done exceptionally well-organized and painted shapes to to create an exceptional composition/ design layout	Good Color Scheme was well thought out and done exceptionally well-organized and painted shapes.	Average Color Scheme was choosen and done well-Design was not well thought out.	Fair Color Scheme was not executed properly, but shapes were painted and there was evidence of some design elements.	Poor Color Scheme was not recognized and design was poorly executed.
Craftmanship	Excellent Colors have been exceptionally well-organized, cleanly cut and placed organized according to instructions given.	Good Colors have been organized, cut well and placed on the color wheel.	Average Colors have been placed on the color wheel, but not following placement directions. Craftsmanship could be improved.	Fair Colors have been placed well on paperl, but . craftsmanship needs improvement	Poor Colors do not work well together. Craftsmanship needs much improvement.
Pointillism (dots of color)	Excellent All colors have been exceptionally placed side by side and create a mixing effect. Compositional & conceptual Skills	Excellent Risk Taker and/or addresses complex visual/conceptual ideas in composition. Uses intuitive problem solving to generate artistic direction	Good Has some successes with brainstorming of ideas in conception of design. Shows signs of interest in exploring design ideas.	Average Shapes and design were used to create foreground, middle ground, but background wasn't well planned	Fair Solutions tend to be simplistic in composition, and without much attention to composition.	Poor Inadequate/ Poor Obvious lack of purpose of composition use.
