Students created logos using their name or initials for a product or service of their own making. 1. Retro Vibe, 2. Zentangle Logo, 3. Social/Cultural logo, 4. Endangered Species Logo, 5. Video Game Logo, 6. Blue Oceans/Clean Water Logo, 7. Music Logo, 8. Sports Logo

Students will create a free standing Pop Art Sculpture with a word or theme. It is to have 7 + cubes assembled in a way to enhance its meaning. Student may use markers , colored pencils, photos and other materials to decorate it. It should be attractive from all angles.

Students will transform an inanimate object into animate form. The student must find an object that interests them and create a series of 4 drawings showing a transformation to a living "thing". i.e. pair of pliers to a butterfly.

After a review of the color wheel by the teacher, the student will create an original drawing incorporating all of the colors of the color wheel on paper. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct colors on the color wheel in the correct position while creating an interesting composition.

Photography

After the Elements and Principles of Art unity you will be asked to be to name all the elements and principles of art as well as know, describe, and demonstrate examples. In this assessment students will work on demonstrating the Elements and Principles by drawing and using materials in the classroom. While students are working they will be called up one by one and be asked to name and give examples of each element and principle.

Students will draw from a still life and apply drawing and shading techniques they have learned to render a final drawing that illustrates their understanding of drawing concepts we have studied in class.
