Singing Skills Assessment 
The following rubric is a checklist for your current singing skills in order to be assessed and assigned a voice part to sing in the chorus. You will be assessed on intonation, tone and vocal range and breath support.

Intonation

Yes!

All pitches are correct. Starting point is always on pitch and clear. Singing matches throughout the whole melody in the low and high parts and it stay in a key.

The vocal line follows the melodic contour, but there are few off pitch parts. Student should work on the starting pitch for each part to match the pitch in a appropriate key

Pitches are not clear. It sounds almost like speaking. Student should work on developing singing voice. Student should listen to his/her voice more attentively and identify whether the pitches are going up or moving down.
Breath Support

Student's breath support is controlled and consistent. Student makes proper use of diaphragm muscles and is resonant and able to sustain the tone.
