Natural Disaster Oral Presentation Students are to create a PowerPoint presentation about Tsunamis, Earthquakes or Volcanoes. They must follow the criteria outlined for this assessment. Rubric Code: QXWW927 By kingsberry11 Draft Public Rubric Subject: Science Type: Assignment Grade Levels: 9-12

Criteria	A Student has successfully followed all curriculum criteria points.	B Student has followed most curriculum criteria points.	C Student has followed the curriculum criteria to a satisfatory level.	D Student has only covered some of the curriculum criteria.	E Student clearly did not follow the curriculum criteria.
Presentation Design	A Student has chosen highly effective, eye-catching designs. Studen has included an animation.	B Student has chosen good, eye-catching designs. Student has included an animation	C Student has chosen a satisfactory design. Animation does not function correctly.	D Student has not put much effort into the design of the presentation. The animation is either missing or doesn't work.	E Student has not thought about the presentation and there is no animation.
Presentation Delivery	A Student spoke clearly using a steady pace and effectively used eye contact.	B Student spoke clearly, with an almost steady pace, could improve eye contact.	C Student did not always speak clearly and at times rushed the presentation. Eye contact was satisfactory.	D Student did not speak clearly and rushed the presentation. Eye contact was minimal, spent too much time reading from the slides or cue cards.	E Student did not speak clearly, rushed the presentation and seldom gave eye contact. The student was not prepared for the presentation.
Referencing (slide & end)	A Referencing was correct - both on the slides and at the end of the presentation.	B	C Referencing needs improvement, some images were not referenced.	D	E Referencing was incorrect or missing, images were not referenced.
