Student hesitated 3, 4, or 5 times	1 Student stopped or paused/restarted more than once. Tempo was extremely inconsistent because of hesitations.	0 Student was unable to find a steady tempo at any time.
Rhythm	4 Student performed all rhythmic values and patterns correctly.	3 Student made less than 3 rhythmic errors.	2 Student made 4-6 rhythmic errors OR repeated rhythmic errors (made the same mistakes when a repeated pattern reoccured)	1 Student performed piece with mostly incorrect rhythms.	0 Student performed no correct rhythms at all.
