Use of Time for Learning
Poor
Did not use time well. Unfocused much of the time.
Examples:
Logged off early.
Used time to "play" on the computer rather learn.
Good
Did not bring or use provided password keepers/tool to log on right away.
Used the balance time well.
Focused on academic progress for most of the time.
Excellent
Logged on right away.
Focused on academic progress at all times.
Worked until the end of the class period.
Content

Student did NOT work on what he/she needs to learn most.
Examples:
Student worked on things they already know, on things that are too easy for them, or student visited unauthorized sites.
Good
Student used some of the time for reviewing things they know, and some of the time for new things.
Excellent
Along with some review, the student used much or most of the time challenging himself to learn new things.
Respect for Others
Poor
The student chronically distracted others from their work.
The student did not follow verbal or written directions from the teacher. The student had to be redirected to task more than once and/or the student did not show proper respect to the teacher or adult/authorty figure in the classroom.
Good
The student occasionally distracted others from their work.
The student occaisionally did not follow written or verbal directions from the teacher.
Excellent
The student never distracted others from their work.
The student followed written an verbal directions from the teacher.
Respect for Property
Poor
The student mishandled the computers and/or equipment in the lab.
OR
The student broke lab rules.
The student brought open candy or food from outside of class and or was consuming candy or food from outside of class in the computer lab.
Gum is never allowed. Students caught chewing gum will recieve a two point automatic deduction.
Good
The student followed lab rules and showed respect for all equipment but does not leave the equipment ready and organized for the next user.
(and/or)
The student brought open candy or food from outside of class and or was consuming candy or food from outside of class in the computer lab.
Excellent
The student followed lab rules at all times and showed respect for all equipment.
AND
The student made extra efforts to clean up and organize the computer lab.
