Use of Sewing Machine	Mastery Student knew how to thread machine and operate it successfully. Student was able to troubleshoot and solve some problems. Fabric, Pinning and Cutting	Mastery Student demonstrated proper use of fabrics and layout. Pinning was consistent during cutting and construction. Cutting was smooth, accurate and contributed to a superior quality product.	Accomplished Fabrics chosen were appropriate and cut on grain. Pinning was accurate in most cases. Cutting is accurate with some jagged edges.	Developing Some fabrics were not suitable for project. Pinning was not always utilized during construction. Some cutting is not accurate. Seams and Construction	Mastery All seams sewn straight with proper seam allowance, back-stitched, and with seam finishes. All seams properly pressed. No holes in project. Sewing Techniques	Mastery All sewing techniques demonstrated in pillow are of high quality. All techniques are done properly and with skill. Appearance	Mastery Project construction was correctly shaped and aligned. Seams match correctly. The project has a polished look and is pleasing to the eye.
