Use of Sewing Machine

Mastery

Student knew how to thread machine and operate it successfully. Student was able to troubleshoot and solve some problems.

Student needed minimal assistance with sewing machine.

Student needed help with sewing machine occasionally. Problems encountered were due to improper use.

Student needed help with sewing machine regularly. Had difficulty understanding proper operation and use.

Fabric, Pinning and Cutting

Mastery

Student demonstrated proper use of fabrics and layout. Pinning was consistent during cutting and construction. Cutting was smooth, accurate and contributed to a superior quality product.

Fabrics chosen were appropriate and cut on grain. Pinning was accurate in most cases. Cutting is accurate with some jagged edges.
