The student sits up properly at the keyboard and demonstrate proper posture for playing the piano at least 70% of the time.
Poor

The student does not sit up and maintain proper posture at the keyboard.
FINGERING

Excellent

The student uses the correct fingering to play each note at least 90% of the time.

The student uses the correct fingering to play each note at least 80% of the time.

Hand Position

Excellent

The fingers are curved and the wrist is comfortable high as the student is playing.

The student is doing a pretty good job but needs to curve fingers more, or adjust wrist position.
Fair

The student is playing with flat fingers and a low wrist. He/she may be touching the keyboard with his/her palm while playing.
Poor

The student did not play the example using any hand position.
