Design Objective	Excellent Elements and principles of art are used effectively and demonstrate strong understanding of objectives.	Fair Elements and principles of art are used effectively and demonstrate understanding of objectives.	Good There is some correct use of elements and principles, but little evidence of understanding of objective.	Poor There is a lack of use and understanding of elements and principles required to meet objective.
Creativity/ Originality	Excellent The graphics and/or text used reflect a exceptional degree of student creativity and originality.	Fair The graphics and/or text used in the design project reflect student creativity and originality.	Good The graphics and/or text are based on the designs or ideas of others and don't demonstrate original ideas.	Poor Graphics and/0r text do not demonstrate any original thought or creativity.
Design Neatness	Excellent The design project is exceptionally attractive in terms of design, layout, neatness, dominance, rhythm, size, etc.	Fair The design project is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness and demonstrate an understanding of the use of design tools.	Good The design project is acceptably attractive though a bit disorganized and does not demonstrate a clear understanding of layout: dominance, size, rhythm, balance.	Poor The design project is distractingly cluttered or devoid of necessary elements and very poorly designed. It is not attractive.
