Thematic Curriculum Unit (Group Project)
Research tell us that the more connections we make, the more learning will occur. Choose a topic appropriate to a specific grade level. Using the New York State Curriculum Standards and the New York City standards develop a unit of study that spans four curricular areas. Literacy must be one area, you can choose from : math, science, social studies, art, or music for the other three areas. You will give a one page rationale for your choice. You will give a one page listing of your major desired major outcomes. You will create four lesson plans, one for each subject area and intergrate literacy skills into each of those lessons. .
