Solfeg Reading 25 %	Superior The solfeg was correct for the entire exercise. Named/labeled all of the solfeg in each measure correctly.	Excellent The solfeg was correct for a majority of the exercise. Named/labeled the solfeg in 6-7 measures correctly.	Good The solfeg was correct for about half of the exercise. Named/labeled the solfeg in 4-5 measures correctly.	Fair The solfeg was correct for minimal amount of the exercise. Named/labeled the solfeg in 2-3 measures correctly.	Poor There is a clear lack of solfege knowledge.
Pitch/Intonation 25 %	Superior The exercise is sung correctly and in tune.	Excellent There is a little variation in the pitch, but the accuracy is there.	Good Some of the exercise is accurate, however, some of the direction (melodic line) of the solfeg is correct, but the pitches are wrong.	Fair Overall, the direction (melodic line) of the solfeg is correct, but the pitches are wrong.	Poor There is little to no sense of singing exercise correctly and/or on pitch.
Rhythm Reading 20 %	Superior Rhythm is performed accurately.	Excellent There are only a couple of wrong rhythms. Sang/counted the rhythms in 6-7 measures correctly.	Good There are several wrong rhythms, but a clear pulse. Sang/counted the rhythms in 4-5 measures correctly.	Fair There is not a strong sense of rhythm. Sang/counted the rhythms in 2-3 measures correctly.	Poor Evidence of any sense of rhythm is lacking. Sang/counted the rhythms in 0-1 measure correctly.
Steady Tempo 20 %	Superior Maintained a steady tempo throughout each measure.	Excellent A steady tempo was maintained through a majority of the exercise. Steady tempo was maintained within 6-7 measures.	Good A steady tempo was maintained through about half of the exercise. Steady tempo was maintained within 4-5 measures.	Fair A steady tempo was maintained through a minimal amount of the exercise. Steady tempo was maintained within 2-3 measures.	Poor A steady tempo was not evident.
