Following directions 20 % Following class and stage etiquette rules, and rules of the school.	unsatifactory Student does not follow directions or disregards directions.	Fair Student rarely follows directions or needs to be prompted to follow directions. Student needs often reminders to keep phone/electronics or other distractions away.	Good Student follows directions the majority of the time. May not follow all directions. Minimal reminders about phone/electronics or other distractions.	Excellent Student follows all directions given by instructor.
Attitude 20 % Conduct while in class/rehearsals/performances	unsatifactory Student has a negative attitude towards others, instructor and work in general or is disrespectful.	Fair Student rarely has a positive attitude towards others, instructor and work in general. Needs frequent warnings about language used or is sometimes disrespectful.	Good Student has a positive attitude towards others, instructor and work in general the majority of the time.	Excellent Student always has an excellent attitude towards others, instructor and work in general.
Participation 20 % Backstage/classroom participation. Includes: Class assignments, backstage tasks, live work, and cleaning shop.	unsatifactory Student does not participate in activities.	Fair Student participates only when prompted. Rarely works on shop tasks, class assignments or live work.	Good Student participates the majority of the time. More than 75% of class/backstage time.	Excellent Student actively participates and helps others when needed. Sets an example for other students. Actively works on all costume/prop/backstage work.
Cleanup 20 % Clean work area. Put tools away and clean any spills.	unsatifactory Student does not participate during clean up of work area.	Fair Student participates during clean up only when prompted. Rarely cleans up work area.	Good Student will clean up work area, Often needs to be prompted.	Excellent Student is working above expectation during clean up.
Backstage safety 20 % Follow safety rules. Handle curtain & props safely. Stay out of the way of fellow actors.	unsatifactory Student does not work safely and presents obstacles to the actors.	Fair Student needs frequent reminders to work safely and sometimes presents obstacles to the actors backstage and onstage.
