Vocal Performance - 25 Points

25-21 Points

The student sings with good excellent technique and tone. An understanding of in-tune singing is evident, and the student also has an open mouth.

The student sings with good vocal technique. Tuning issues are present but are quickly fixed. The student may have a closed off mouth every once in a while but immediately opens up.
15-11 Points

The student sings with decent vocal technique. Tuning issues are present and are rarely fixed. The student has a closed off mouth and therefore is not projecting enough.
10-5 Points

The student sings with poor vocal technique. Tuning is constantly an issue and is never fixed. The student has a closed off mouth that never opens back up.
Expression and Style - 25 Points

25-21 Points

The student performs with excellent facial and bodily expression. It is evident that the student is working to give the best performance. The style of the song is also nicely portrayed through the voice and expression.
20-16 Points

The student performs with good facial and bodily expression. For the most part, it is clear that the student is trying to give the best performance possible. The style of the song is somewhat unclear from the voice and bodily expression used.
15-11 Points

The student performs with decent facial and bodily expression. For the most part, an effort to give the best performance possible is not clear. The style of the song is also not nicely portrayed through the voice or the bodily expression used.
10-5 Points

The student performs with poor facial and bodily expression. The student shows no desire to give the best performance possible and seems disconnected. The style of the song is not portrayed through the voice or through any bodily expression.

The student uses excellent diction throughout the entire performance.

The student thoroughly and honestly fills out the reflection. All answers are at least 5 sentences long.

The student fills out the reflection with some thoroughness. Some of the answers are less than 5 sentences long.
15-11 Points

The student fills out the reflection with poor thoroughness. The student does not want to reflect on the concert, making the answers a couple sentences long each.
10-5 Points

The student either does not fill out the reflection or does so with poor thoroughness. The student does not care to reflect on the concert and gives one word or one sentence answers.
