Scale Drawing of the Class Room

In this activity, using what you have learned over Sections 2 through 5 ( Measuring, Scale Drawings, and Area), you will be using these skills to make a scale drawing of the classroom. Use a scale of 1 inch = 1 yard. Make sure to include outline details of the classroom, such as decks, tables, and shelves.

	Poor Did not comeplete the task, noted in the rubric. 6 pts	Fair Completed half of the task, noted in the rubric 10 pts	Good Preformed the task completely, noted in the rubric. 20 pts
Create Scale Drawing 5 pts Create a scale draw of the layout of the classroom. Include outline details of the classroom in your drawing ( desk, shelves, etc.)	Poor Students didnt create a scale drawing of the classroom and did not included outline details of things within the classroom. Measure the Length and Width 5 pts Measure the length and the width of the actual classroom and detials using the scale 1in= 1yd, then add the measurements to your drawing.	Poor Student did not measure the classroom and details, transfer the measurements onto scale drawing, or used appropriate labels.	Fair Students measured the classroom and details with error using the scale 1in-1yard. The student then transfered the measurements onto their scale drawing. Using appropriate labels Yards = yds. Fetilizing the school Yard 5 pts With the assigned dementions of the yard that will be fertilized the student will calculate the amount of fertilizer needed for the school yard following the 4 steo of calculating area of a lot in section 5.	Poor The student did not calculate the area of a lot with the assigned dementions and did not follow the 4 steps of calculating area of a lot in Section 5.
