Used all areas of the stage. Used interesting formations, levels, and made great use of the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal spaces.

Was able to incorporate and use most of the stage space. Only used 2-3 formations and showed use of multiple levels.

Time/Musicality

Choreography used at least 3 tools from the element of time: canon, poly-rhythms, syncopation, retrograde, stillness, counterpoint, etc...Dancers were in sync with the music

Structure

Piece features a clear theme, beginning, middle and end. Movement, spacing and timing choices support the theme.
Good

Piece's theme is mostly clear, Had a clear beginning and middle, but does not have a definitive ending

Piece does not have an apparent theme. The piece does not have a clear beginning, middle, or end.

Piece does not have a theme, nor beginning, middle and end.
