	Proficient 3 pts	Competent 2 pts	Emerging 1 pts
Tone Quality	Proficient Tone is open, full and clear, not forced. Transition over vocal break clean.	Competent Tone is adequate, no speaking or shouting, but lacks fullness, lightness or adequate volume.	Emerging Tone is thin or too loud, possibly mixed with speaking, shouting or whispering.
Breath Support/Articulation/Lyrics/	Proficient Deep, full breaths for each phrase. Words are clear, mouth is open. All lyrics correct. Lyrics accurate.	Competent Some breath support, but not full. Mouth is sometimes closed, but most words can be understood, consonants and word ending may be unclear. Lyrics mostly accurate.	Emerging No deep breath. Mumbling, closed mouth, unclear consonants, most words are not understood. Lyrics mostly inaccurate.
Phrasing	Proficient Phrases are complete, with breaths between phrases	Competent Breathes more than necessary, but in logical intervals	Emerging Choppy phrases, breathes frequently
