3

The student created a landscape drawing in colored pencil that included a foreground, middle ground and background. Light source is somewhat used and depth is somewhat shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.
2

The student created a landscape drawing in colored pencil that included a foreground, middle ground and background. Lights source is not used and depth is not shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.
1

The student created a landscape drawing in colored pencil but did not include a foreground, middle ground and background. Light source is not used and depth is not shown by drawing going from dark to light and larger to smaller.
Accuracy of Landscape

4

The landscape is clearly drawn with a foreground, middle ground and background.
3

The landscape is clearly drawn with a foreground, middle ground and background.
2

The landscape is drawn with a foreground and background but no middle ground is visible.
1

The landscape is drawn with only one level (the landscape only includes one of the following: a foreground, middle ground or background).
Colors

4

Colors were applied in a neat and creative manner. Colors were evenly and consistently applied (there are no "blotchy" dark or light areas). Student used colored pencils to color in design areas outside of initial zentangle patterns.
3

The application of the color is fairly neat and creative. There is variation in color from dark to light used in the foreground, middle ground and background.
2

The application of the color is not very neat or creative. Little use of darkness to lightness is shown from foreground to background.
1

The application of color was not done in a neat or creative manner. Colors do not change in lightness or darkness from foreground to background. All objectives of landscape such as mountains, trees, etc. are the same color.
Review and Reflection

4

Foreground, middle ground, and background is evident within their drawing. Color and zentangle patterns shows depth. Students participate in group conversation and revise their work so that all requirements are included.

Foreground, middle ground, and background is evident within their drawing. Color and zentangle patterns shows depth. Students participate in group conversation and revise their work so that all requirements are included Students participate in group conversation and revise their work so that all mostly all of the requirements are included.
2

One or more parts of the foreground, middleground and/or background is present in zentangle. Zentangle patterns are used. Some areas show a range of values but may not show varied colors.
1

foreground, middle ground and background are not apparent in their drawing. Zentangle patterns are sloppy and inconsistent with showing depth. Mediums other than colored pencils were used to color in areas where patterns are made with colored markers.
Workmanship

4

Drawing was lightly sketched in originally with marker to outline basic shapes. Colored markers were used to distinguish different patterns and then colored pencils used for color.
3

Drawing was lightly sketched in originally with marker to outline basic shapes. Some areas were still outlined by sharpies and then patterns made with black sharpies also. Markers were used along with colored pencils to distinguish different patterns and then colored pencils were used for color.
2

Drawing was heavily sketched in originally with marker to outline basic shapes instead of lightly drawn with pencil. Colored markers were used to distinguish different patterns and then markers were used for color instead of colored pencils.
1

Drawing was heavily marred and outlines are roughly drawn. Sloppy patterns created in shapes. Colored pencils may or may not have been used to color shapes and patterns.
