	Poor 7 pts	Fair 10 pts	Good 12 pts
Response Content	Poor Content is from book. Response uses a point from our learning but explanation missing or incomplete. Content is not friendly and may not represent what can be reasonably spoken to a peer.	Fair Content is from book. Response uses at least one key point and explains it in a clear manner. Content is friendly and reflects what could be spoken face to face with a peer.	Good Content is from book, discussion, or other sources that are clearly related to topic. Response uses a few key points and explains them in a clear and complete manner. Content is friendly and reflects what could be spoken face to face with a peer.
Response Organization	Poor Response is not organized and presents a challenge to follow logical thought pattern.	Fair Response is moving toward organized but is missing a flow and readability that displays students missing effort to think through a planned response and writing preparation.	Good Response is organized. It flows from point to explanation, to point, etc. with good transitions and strong readability. An catchy opening and summarizing closing are present.
Response Construction	Poor Grammar, spelling, word choice, and/or penmanship are lacking. More than 4 mistakes in grammar and spelling.	Fair Decent grammar, spelling, word choice, and penmanship present. Penmanship may need some improvement and only 2-3 mistakes in grammar and spelling.	Good Excellent grammar, spelling, word choice, and penmanship present. None or only 1-2 mistakes in grammar and spelling.
