Poor

Needs constant adult prompts and reminders to "think with your eyes." Unable to make inferences or modify behavior to match a situation. Inattentive. Cannot generate multiple perspectives.
Fair

Able to make and explain inferences with visual supports and minimal adult cues. Able to modify behavior to match a situation with minimal adult cues. Attends with reminders. Can generate 1-2 perspectives.
Good

Uses eyes to assess and situation and modify behavior independently. Able to make inferences in a variety of situations with little to no support. Attends to group. Can generate 3-4 perspectives.
Conversational Skills

Able to engage in conversations related to non-preferred topics with adult support. Makes encouraging comments with models or reminders. Able to ask a few questions to gain information with minimal adult cues.

Appears friendly and engaging. Makes frequent encouraging comments. Able to ask multiple questions or make multiple statements to gain information or show interest.

Stands out in a group. Does not understand social rules across settings. Unable to identify or express expected vs. unexpected behaviors in self or others.

Maintains expected behavior with adult cues. Able to identify and express examples of behaviors. Able to express how behaviors affect feelings during structured tasks.
