This rubric scores the student on number of behavioral episodes, and the intensity of behavioral episodes. Goal is to decrease the frequency and severity of challenging behaviors.

Number of episodes	Excellent Challenging behavioral episodes occur 0-1 times per week.	Good Challenging behavioral episodes occur 2-3 times per week.	Improving Challenging behavioral episodes occur 4-6 times per week.	Fair Challenging behavioral episodes occur 2-3 times per day.	Poor Challenging behavioral episodes occur more than 3 times per day.
Intensity of behavior	Excellent Expresses appropriatly to situations perceived as undesirable.	Good Exhibits preliminary behavioral responses to situations perceived as undesirable (e.g. anxiety, clenching, moving away).	Improving Exhibits defensive behaviors to situations perceived as undesirable (e.g. screaming, cursing, rocking).	Fair Exhibits destructive behaviors to situations perceived as undesirable (e.g. throwing, tearing, ripping, pounding).	Poor Exhibits acting out behaviors with potential of danger to self or others.
