Model Math Word Problem for Practical Life Solutions
Students will work in diads or triads to design word problems, which model linear equations to solve a practical situation in a real world context. They will then use the equations to find the solution to the problem. Students will read and write for meaning and application in their own lives. After creating their own word problems, students will visit each others' work in order to understand possible other scenarios to apply to their model and check for their understanding.
