Content of the message	Poor does not have appropriate vocabulary to participate	Fair has some appropriate vocabulary but not enough to speak on the topic	Developing has appropriate vocabulary to talk about known topics and satisfies social demands	Good has appropriate vocabulary to talk about multiple topics and shares opinion if encouraged	Excellent appropriate vocabulary, willingly shares opinion, able to talk on various topics
