	Excellent (A, A-) 10 pts	Good (B+, B) 8 pts	Fair (B-, C+, C) 4 pts	Poor (C-, D) 1 pts
ATTENDANCE 10 pts Comes to class.	Excellent Student always attends classes. (2 excused abs)	Good Student is absent 4 or 5x. (4 exc abs or 2 unexc abs)	Fair Student is absent 5 to 6 times. (4 unexcused abs)	Poor Student has 7 or more absences (no excuse given)
PUNCTUALITY 10 pts Arrives on time to class. Submission of assignments.	Excellent Student submits on time and is always on time or early for class. Follows all assignment guidelines (printout:font, space, etc).	Good Student usually arrives and submits on time or early. Follows assignment guideline.	Fair Student sometimes arrives or submits on time. Sometimes follows assignment guideline.	Poor Student is often late in class and submission. Does not follow format instructions.
LEVEL OF ENGAGEMENT AND BEHAVIOR 10 pts Participates in class. Works with classmates. Comes prepared.	Excellent Student often asks questions, actively participates in drills, discussions, dialog building and engages in free conversation with others.	Good Student sometimes asks questions, participates in drills, discussions, dialog preparation and engages in free conversation.	Fair Student rarely participates in class, struggles with drills and free conversation.	Poor Student never participates in class, does not engage in drills, dialog preparation and or free conversation.
CONDUCT 10 pts Conducts self appropriately and is respectful of the learning environment and other students.	Excellent Student is always respectful of others, does not monopolize discussion, does not use cellphone or talk to others during class. Student does not leave class early (or has left w/ excuse) or provide other disruption.	Good Student is usually respectful of others, but may have used their cellphone or had it ring in class once. Student may have left class early once w/out excuse.	Fair Student is frequently disruptive of class time. May not be respectful toward others and may have used cellphone or had it ring more than once during class. Reads newspaper or prepares HW for other classes. Has left class early more than once.	Poor Student usually is disruptive in class. Cellphone is used or rings regularly, or student often converses with others during class. Reads newspaper or prepares HW for other class. Regularly leaves class early.
