Tessellation Drawing Tessellation Drawing Students will create a tessellation drawing. A created tile will either translate or rotate within the composition. Imagery should be able to be recognized within the composition. Both graphite and colored pencils should be evident in the composition along with value. Tile Creativity Tile either rotates or translates.	Needs Work Student didn't take time to create a unique tile. Hard to recognize the imagery.,	Not Proficient Student attempted to create a tile with recognizable imagery but was lacking in details.	Proficient Student created a tile with recognizable imagery. Tile imagery stands out.	Advanced Student was highly successful in creating a unique tile image and used references to help draw the image.
Value/Medium Use Drawing contains both graphite and colored pencil mediums. Application skills evident.	Needs Work No value is present in the composition. No layering and no depth present. Application of the medium appears uneven.	Not Proficient Imagery does not showcase any strong value. Little to no depth is present in the composition, no layering. Value appears all the same.	Proficient Values are present within the composition. Some depth is visible in the composition. Some layering is present.	Advanced Varied value range of darks, highlights, and mid tones. Uses shading to create edges and lines. High application of depth by using layering.
Craftsmanship Produced a clean, presentable looking drawing.	Needs Work The amount of stray marks, smudges, or paper imperfections detracts from the overall appearance of the drawing. Little if any time went into medium application and line work.	Not Proficient A few stray marks or smudges are evident but do not greatly detract from the overall appearance of the drawing. Medium application and line work appears rushed.	Proficient Presentation of the work is clean and neat with no stray marks, smudges, wrinkles or curled edges of paper. Medium application and line work is proficient.	Advanced Presentation of the work is exemplary. Careful use of all mediums and line work is clean.
