Behind the Music
Behind the Music
Students will do a PowerPoint presentation wherein they examine the lyrics to one of their favorite or most meaningful songs. They will answer whether a song can have an impact on people, and give examples. Students will then tell about why this song is meaningful to them, give a short biography of the artist or group, and examine theme, figurative language, rhyme and rhythm and the importance these things play in the song. Students are required to have the lyrics to the song in the Power Point, pictures of the artist or group, and write a biography about who they chose. Students will also play the song for the class and we will read the lyrics as they do so. The presenter will need to be prepared to answer questions about the song or artist at the end of the presentation,
