Concept	Excellent Stylist created a look that was based on the chosen theme and not only carried it throughout their hairstyle, but went above and beyond what they were asked to bring the total style together.	Good Stylist created a look that was based on the chosen theme and carried it throughout their hair design.	Fair Contestant did not demonstrate a thorough understanding of the assignment and only loosely incorporated elements of their theme.	Poor The hair style does not follow their specified theme.
Creativity	Excellent Stylist created a hair design that was unique and original. It held the attention of the viewers and was visually attractive.	Good Stylist was creative in his/her hair design and drew visual interest to the creation was properly executed.	Fair The stylist's creation was visually appealing, but did not demonstrate very much originality.	Poor Stylist created a design that was very basic. Little effort was put into designing the hairstyle.
Technique	Excellent Manikin is cleanly styled, precise, etc showing a high level of skill is demonstrated.	Good Style is mostly clean and precise, meeting skill level.	Fair Style is not finished looking, and appears messy. Very little skill demonstrated.	Poor Style is very messy and design is unclear. No skill demonstrated.
Name & Origin	Excellent Name is original & creative. Story line was well written, minding grammatical rules & punctuation. Story was creative & represented the visualization of the overall manikin.	Good Name is original & creative. Story line was written with few errors with grammar rules & punctuation. Story represented the overall manikin.	Fair Name could have been more creative story line lacked creativity & originality. Story represented the overall theme of manikin.	Poor Story did not represent manikin. Unoriginal, little effort put forth into story line & or name.
