Animal Trace- Writing
	Excellent 3 pts	Good 2 pts	Fair 1 pts
Utensil support	Excellent Student holds utensil in between their pointer and index finger while tracing.	Good Student holds the utensil with any finger or fist while tracing.	Fair Student will not use utensil.
Animal Tracing	Excellent Student can trace the lion's shape without help.	Good Student can trace part of the lion's shape/ may need some help.	Fair Student does not attempt to trace the animal and colors in the lion's shape.
Letter Tracing	Excellent Student can trace the lower and uppercase letters, and copies letters on the line.	Good Student can trace and write some of the lower and uppercase letters.	Fair Student attempts to trace or write the letter, but does not finish. OR student tells me what the letters are.
Participation	Excellent 1 pt for attempting/ completing the handout.	Good	Fair
