Initial post	Poor No initial post was made or initial post did not meet criteria. or Initial post was inappropriate.	Fair Initial post answered question but was not written in 2-3 complete sentences and/or did not focus on the topic.	Good Initial post answered question, was written in 2-3 complete sentences, and focused on the topic.
Peer Response	Poor No response was made or peer response did not meet criteria. or Response was negative or inappropriate.	Fair Response to peer was less than two complete sentences, did not contain a positive comment, did not ask a question, and/or did not add to the discussion.	Good Response to peer was written in 2-3 complete sentences, made positive comment, asked a question, and added to the disucssion.
