Understanding the Problem 15 %	Poor Completely misinterprets the problem.	Fair Misinterprets a part of the problem.	Good Shows complete understanding of the problem.
Choosing a Solution Strategy 20 %	Poor Does not give evidence of using a strategy or uses a completely incorrect strategy.	Fair Chooses a strategy that can provide the correct answer but implements it incorrectly. Or chooses a strategy that will get them through part of the problem but fails to provide a correct answer.	Good Chooses a correct strategy that could lead to a correct solution when done without error.
Implementing the Strategy 20 %	Poor Makes no attempt at solving the problem, uses a completely incorrect strategy, or uses a correct strategy but implements it incorrectly.	Fair Implements a partially correct strategy based on the interpreting part of the problem correctly. Or chooses a correct strategy and implements it with a partial answer.	Good Implements a correct strategy with minor to no errors.
Getting the Answer 20 %	Poor Gets no answer, fails to state the answer, or gets a wrong answer based on implementing an incorrect solution strategy.	Fair Makes copying or computational errors, or gets a partial answer to a problem with multiple answers, or labels the answer incorrectly.	Good Gets the correct answer, states it and labels it properly.
