Narrative Recording
Choose a learner in your classroom to observe three times. Consider observing during different times of the day and different days of the week. Observe in three environments - two structured or academic activities, one unstructured activity (i.e., recess, lunch, passing time, study hall, etc.). Strive for 20 to 30 minute observations or a total of 60 to 90 minutes. Record data regarding the learner's behavior using Narrative Recording - taking notes and writing down what occurs.
