Selection	Poor Students selected a minor/trivial section of text.	Fair Students selected a section of text with little or no action.	Good Students selected a fairly significant section of text.	Excellent Students selected a primary and significant section of text, vital to the plot, development of character, or theme.
Text	Poor Students did not translate the text into Reader's Theater format. The script is not legible or easy to follow.	Fair Students translated a small portion of the text into Reader's Theater format. Too often the text was not re-written to fit script format. The script is sloppy or difficult to follow.	Good Students translated a majority of the text into appropriate Reader's Theater format. A few insignificant sections were not correctly re-written. The script is fairly neat and mostly easy to read/follow.	Excellent Students translated the entire scene into appropriate Reader's Theater format. The script is neat and easy to read/follow.
Group Work	Poor Student did not get along with group. Student did not listen to the ideas of other's in the group.	Fair Student got along with rest of group some of the time.
